A Legacy of Power, Progress,
and Performance

Sadler Electric’s legacy started by Robert Sadler and his father
Don Sadler in 1981 in Omaha, Nebraska as a signatory
contractor with IBEW 22 and NECA. Work in the early years
focused around commercial and industrial electrical applications
for companies such as Pamada, Campbell Soups, and ConAgra
Foods. The first few years Sadler Electric saw sound, controlled
growth in a tough market and acquisitions of several other
Electrical Contractors including Wallin Electric, Welch Electric,
and Industrial Electric along with their inventory, customers, &
employees as they continued to grow.

Sadler Line Construction was created in 1985 with a collective
bargaining agreement with IBEW 1525 to perform traffic signal
installations for the City of Omaha as a separate but logical
complementary business unit to Sadler Electric. In the late
1980’s, Robert Sadler worked with both Vermeer and Ditch
Witch to develop their small-sized, steerable utility horizontal
directional drilling machines in conjunction a cable replacement
project for Omaha Public Power District (OPPD). The early
1990’s led to a boom in Sadler Line Construction’s business as
the HDD industry took off replacing medium voltage cable
throughout the Omaha Metro Area.

Three Generations.
One Standard of Excellence.

As Sadler Line Construction continued to grow through the 1990’s, IBEW 1525 could no longer support the labor needs of the company and Sadler Line Construction became a Merit-based Contractor.

With the DOT Comm Bubble and recession in the early 2000’s coupled with a poor labor market, Sadler Electric saw the same transition to a Merit-based Shop in 2004 to remain competitive in the market. Within a year, Sadler Line Construction transitioned its operations, employees, and
assets under the Sadler Electric umbrella and a single parent company. With the dynamics of the company shifting, a 3rd generation leader
Brian Sadler was in full swing of cutting their teeth within the company
and industry.

Driving the Future of Heavy Highway
and Infrastructure

Again, a few years later, Sadler Electric continued to evolve with the changing market conditions
brought about by The Great Recession of 2008.  We shifted our focus from a balance between the
Commercial/Industrial sectors and Traffic Signal sectors to solely focus on the entire Heavy Highway
and Infrastructure sectors in general.

Throughout the next 15 years, Sadler Electric saw tremendous growth to the company as well as our
overall capabilities lead by Vice President at the time, Brian Sadler.  Additional market sectors of drilled
shafts and highway signage were added to our repertoire of quality skill sets.

Powering the Next Generation of
Transportation Infrastructure

In 2019, we saw then-President Robert Sadler retire and Brian Sadler officially take over the helm as Owner and Company President for Sadler Electric.

Today, our main lines of work consist of Traffic Signals, Highway / Street / High mast Tower Lighting, Intelligent Transportation Systems (video, vehicle detection systems, wired and wireless COMM networks, connected roadways), Drilled Shafts, Highway / Roadway / Regulatory Signage, and Underground utilities including concrete duct bank. We will continue in the future to be on the cutting edge of transportation technologies as they are adapted into our Communities by the great craftsmen of Sadler Electric.
